Its June Dammit!

By God, it's June already. 2 posts Al, this is fantastic. Alright, so we're bad bloggers, but there is time to improve. Now separated by the end of our college careers, there will be two stories on this blog. Graduation went pretty smoothly (and by that I mean tearfully). We suffered through one last week of rain, bad insulation and general ridiculousness, packed up our cars and drove home. Since then, I have been doing my best not to keep still. I think that when you stop moving that is when the trouble starts, which is possibly why my friend's Mother tells me I have "wanderlust." I don't think this is because I want to go to so many places, it's just because I know that once I stop running around, I will have to face the reality that I have no idea what I am doing with my life. But no matter, I have 2 internships until december, I can worry again then.
Until I leave for my first internship, I am home and home is well...
I should mention that my family is not crazy, I have a pretty good relationship with my parents and brother (and dog). I know that I am lucky, but still moving home even for a small period of time is always difficult. It is as if we have forgotten what its like to live with each other. Throw in some construction workers, multiple house guests and a shared bathroom, and you have a recipe for disaster.  Anyways, I am leaving soon and because of that, home is great as it always is when there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Blah blah blah...we need a drink

Today was a blahhhh day. Yeah you know what those are like, everyone does. But let us explain to you how the typical college student deals with it.
Al's comments: First you procrastinate your paper. It's due at 3:45 pm, and class is cancelled so you can write it during class time, tricking you that you have even more time to work on it. In order to procrastinate you'll watch tv, balance your checkbook, call Mom and Dad, clean, basically do anything to keep from writing the paper due in  less than 6 hours. Finally you must cram out this paper, it happens, although you end up emailing it in 10 minutes late.
Now comes the fun part. To de-stress you'll shower, take a nap, and then begin the eating and drinking binge. You start with finishing off a half bag of doritos. You then go food shopping, attack the bulk candy section and eat from the bag while waiting to check-out. Come home and prep a feast for dinner. Don't forget dessert, you had time to bake a cake while putting off your paper. Then, you start drinking, it's Thursday so you don't start until 10pm (and also you're still full). Thirsty Thursdays are all the rage, we go get beers for $0.25 each, and they call it QUARTERS aka the best day of the week. You'll get hammered off of $4.00 (what it normally costs for just one drink). Then you'll go to a bar where you can dance it off, and in Hal's case finish off with a gin and tonic ($1.00 for a double, you can't go wrong at Hardcore). After shaking your stress away on the dancefloor, you'll decide you need to eat more and you'll head to the greasy fast food establishments and end your night with a ball of fried dough covered in cheese.
Don't forget, you have class at 9:30 tomorrow morning! Happy De-stressing!! Can't wait til the weekend.
